Youth Leadership Council for Black English-speaking youth in Montreal



We’re excited to announce the launch of the Black Community Resource Centre’s (BCRC) Youth Leadership Council (YLC) for youth in the English-speaking Black community of Montreal. This initiative offers a platform for youth (ages 14-24) to share ideas, shape BCRC programs, and develop leadership skills.


Opportunities for YLC Members:

- Scholarship : Awarded to one outstanding member.

- Internship : Hands-on experience with BCRC.


YLC Objectives:

- Engage youth in BCRC’s mission.

-Build leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- Amplify youth voices in community initiatives.

- Strengthen youth connections with BCRC.


YLC Structure:

- 6-8 members from diverse backgrounds (high school, CEGEP, university).

- Term: One year, renewable.

- Meetings: Monthly + quarterly board meetings.
